Therapeutic Massage
Massage Therapy treats the whole person. Through the manipulation of soft tissues (i.e. muscles, ligaments, tendons) the overall health of a person is improved.
The touch used in Massage Therapy is purposeful and systematic. Stretching, pressing, kneading and stroking result in increased flexibility in stiff muscles and joints. Massage Therapy improves blood flow and increases lymphatic drainage, which, in turn, facilitates the removal of metabolic by-products. This positive effect on the circulatory system also improves the functioning of the immune system.
Massage Therapy stimulates the release of endorphins into the brain, calming the nervous system and providing an overall sense of well-being.

Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is the ancient practice of using plant essences, steam distilled or cold-pressed from flowers, fruit, bark and roots, to promote health and well-being. The treatment begins with a sensory journey, where the guest will pick the aromatic blend that is best suited for that day. Your therapist will incorporate the blend into a Swedish massage using lymphatic drainage techniques leaving you feeling balanced rejuvenated and profoundly relaxed.
Reflexology
Reflexology is based on the principle that reflex points on the feet correspond with all body organs and systems. These points respond to pressure, stimulating the body's own healing process. The body re-establishes energy flows and balances itself, resulting in better health. A reflexology treatment begins with a relaxing herbal footbath. Your therapist will then treat your feet and lower legs using gentle yet firm pressure.
Thai Massage
Thai massage is a practice based in Aryuvedic medicine and Hatha yoga. It integrates deep stretching, pressure and rhythmic motion to release stressed muscles and joints of the body. Thai massage also generates a deep state of relaxation and promotes a sense of well-being.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage is a unique massage combining the used of heated basalt stones with Swedish massage techniques. Your therapist will place the stones on specific points along the spine as well as incorporate them into the massage to promote a deep state of relaxation.
Shiatsu Thearpy
Shiatsu is a powerful Japanese healing art which literally translated means finger pressure. Originating from oriental massage it affects the same points and meridians worked on in Acupuncture; however it uses a method of moderate pressure through touch, to re-establish flow of energy and well-being. Shiatsu works on a physical level by easing physical pain, calming digestive disorders and many other conditions as well as assisting ease mental and emotional disorders. Shiatsu sessions are profoundly calming and peaceful.

Hair Removal
Aveda’s Natural Plant Wax Program is a process that incorporates natural plant based waxes, essential oils and soothing ingredients to give you the best hair removal results. Our Relaxing Waxing Rituals allow the most comfort, as well as being effective. Using two different types of wax allows us to customize for the area of hair removal. Make sure to let us know if you are using doctor prescribed skin care products or taking medications so we can check for contraindications.
What to Expect
At your first appointment with Intuitive Touch Therapies, you will be asked to arrive 15 minutes before the treatment time to fill out a confidential medical history form. This helps your
therapist to assess your condition and prepare a treatment plan that
is appropriate for you. Hydrotherapy, using hot and/or cold packs, is
sometimes indicated during the treatment. A home care plan, including
remedial exercises and other suggestions, complements your treatment.
Aveda's Comforting Tea, caffeine-free - soothing and relaxing awaits you with every visit.
Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are professionals licensed and regulated by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, under the Regulated Health Professionals Act (RHPA). Each RMT must successfully complete a certified program comprising 2200 hours of training.
